Specimen Requirements
1 mL of spinal fluid. Send specimen refrigerated in a screw-capped, sterile, plastic vial. Maintain sterility and forward promptly (within 30 minutes is preferred).
Note: 1. Maximum storage of specimen is 72 hours refrigerated.
2. Indicate specimen source on specimen container.
